Jeph B. Acheampong is a social entrepreneur and education innovator on a mission to close Africa’s opportunity gap through education and technology. As Founder and Director of Blossom Academy, he leads an award-winning institution that equips underserved communities with in-demand data and leadership skills- empowering over 700 graduates to launch careers in tech with an 85% placement rate. Through Blossom Corporate, its enterprise division, he has upskilled thousands of professionals across Ghana and beyond, partnering with industry leaders to accelerate digital transformation.
Under Jeph’s leadership, Blossom Academy has expanded from Ghana to Nigeria and Rwanda, earning global recognition as an Expo 2020 Dubai Global Innovator and support from the Livelihood Impact Fund, African Visionary Fund, and Internet Society Foundation. Its pioneering model led to an appointment by the Government of Ghana to contribute to the Ghana National AI Strategy (2023-2033). The academy’s work has been featured by CNN, the United Nations, and Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square.
Before Blossom, Jeph was a founding member of Esusu Financial, a New York-based fintech unicorn (valued at over $1B) that leverages data to improve financial equity for renters across the U.S. He also served as a Data Solutions Consultant at Experian PLC, helping multinationals harness customer insights, and as a Princeton in Africa Fellow in Nairobi, where he supported startups in data-driven decision-making.
A sought-after speaker, Jeph has delivered keynotes on the future of work, economic empowerment, and innovation at conferences across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and the U.S. He holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from NYU, where he received the President’s Service Award, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Education Leadership at Harvard University as an Adrian Cheng Fellow at the Social Innovation + Change Initiative. Recognized as an Acumen Fellow and African Visionary Fund Awardee, his work bridges grassroots impact and systemic change.
